Terms and Conditions

Updated 2 November 2026. Version 2026-11-02.

About these terms

WeOutside is a website and service for finding events in Liberia and buying tickets to them. It is run by The 8teen Corporation ("WeOutside", "we", "us"). These Terms and Conditions are the agreement between you and us whenever you use WeOutside: browsing, buying a ticket, joining an event's group chat, or selling tickets as an organiser.

By creating an account, buying a ticket or listing an event, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use WeOutside.

Some sections apply only to organisers (people and businesses who list events and sell tickets). They are marked as such. If you sell tickets, every section applies to you.

What WeOutside does, and what it doesn't

WeOutside is a marketplace. Organisers list their events and set their ticket prices; we display the events, take payment on the organiser's behalf, and deliver the tickets. We do not organise, host, run, insure or control the events listed on WeOutside unless we clearly say an event is our own.

When you buy a ticket, your agreement to attend the event is with its organiser. The organiser is responsible for the event: that it takes place, where and when it said, as it was described, safely and lawfully.

WeOutside is not responsible for whether an event takes place, is postponed, changed or cancelled, or for how it goes. That includes the quality of the event, the performers who appear or don't, the venue, crowd safety, the weather, and anything that happens at or because of the event.

We check events before they appear publicly, and we check the identity of organisers who ask to be verified. These checks reduce risk, but they are not a guarantee. A "Verified" mark means we were shown an ID (or, for a business, its registration) that looked genuine. It does not mean we vouch for the event, the organiser's behaviour, or the outcome.

Your account

You can buy tickets without an account. To keep your tickets on any phone, join group chats or sell tickets, you need an account.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or sell tickets. If you are younger, you may buy a ticket only with the permission of a parent or guardian, and only for events open to your age.

Give us true, current details: your name, email and phone number. Keep your password private and don't share your account. You are responsible for what happens in your account. If you think someone else has used it, change your password and tell us at admin@weoutside.xyz.

One person, one account. Don't create accounts for someone else without their permission, or to get around a suspension.

Buying tickets

Prices are set by the organiser and shown in Liberian dollars (LRD) or US dollars (USD) before you pay. Any fee we charge is shown before you pay.

You pay with MTN Mobile Money. You approve the payment on your own phone; we never ask for, see or store your MoMo PIN. A ticket is yours only once the payment is confirmed. If the payment fails or isn't approved, no ticket is issued and the tickets held for you are released.

We send your ticket by the channels you choose (email, SMS or WhatsApp), and it is always available from its link and, if you have an account, under My tickets. Keep your ticket link private: anyone with it can open the ticket.

Each ticket admits the number of people it says, once. The first person to show a valid ticket at the door is let in; a ticket that has been scanned is used. Don't share, copy or alter tickets. We and the organiser may cancel tickets that were copied, altered, bought fraudulently or resold against the organiser's rules.

Ticket sales close at the time the organiser set. After that, WeOutside won't sell tickets for the event, though the organiser may still sell at the door.

Cancellations, changes and refunds

Refunds are the organiser's responsibility and follow the organiser's own refund policy. Check the event page and contact the organiser first.

If an event is cancelled, the organiser must refund ticket buyers. If an event is moved or significantly changed, the organiser should tell buyers and offer a refund to anyone who can no longer attend.

Where we still hold the ticket money for a cancelled event, we may use it to refund buyers directly, and we will try to help you reach the organiser. Where the money has already been paid to the organiser, we cannot guarantee a refund, but we will cooperate with you and the authorities to recover it if the organiser acted dishonestly.

Refunds go back to the Mobile Money number that paid, in the same currency, and may take several working days. Fees charged by MTN for a payment may not be refundable.

Going to events

Events have their own rules, set by the organiser and the venue: age limits, ID checks, bag searches, dress codes, and what you may bring. You must follow them. The organiser or venue may refuse entry or remove you for breaking them, without a refund.

You attend events at your own risk. Look after yourself, the people with you and your belongings. Neither WeOutside nor, as far as the law allows, the organiser is responsible for personal belongings that are lost, stolen or damaged at an event.

Some events may be photographed or filmed. By attending, you accept that you may appear in the organiser's photos or videos.

Group chats and what you post

Ticket holders can talk in an event's group chat. Be respectful. Don't post anything unlawful, threatening, hateful, sexually explicit, misleading, or that shares someone else's private information. Don't advertise, spam, or sell or swap tickets in the chat unless the organiser allows it.

Organisers and their team can moderate their event's chat. We can remove messages, mute or remove people, and suspend accounts that break these rules. Use the report button to tell us about a message.

You keep ownership of what you post, and you allow us to show it to the other people in the chat and to keep it as long as needed to run the chat and keep people safe.

For organisers: listing events

You must be at least 18 and able to enter into this agreement, for yourself or for the business you represent. If you sign up for a business, you confirm that you are allowed to act for it, and the business is bound by these terms.

Every event you list must be real, lawful, and described truthfully: its name, date, time, venue, prices, what each ticket includes, and any age limit. Use images you have the right to use. You are responsible for any permits, licences, permissions and insurance your event needs, and for following the law, including on safety, noise, alcohol and crowd limits.

We review events before they appear publicly. We may approve an event, ask you to fix something, or refuse it, and we will tell you why. We may also take down an event that is already live if it breaks these terms, if we receive credible complaints, or to protect buyers. Changes you make after approval go live immediately, and we may review them again.

We don't allow events that are illegal, that promote violence or hatred, that exploit anyone, that involve weapons or illegal drugs, or that are misleading or fraudulent. We decide whether an event is allowed.

You must honour every ticket sold through WeOutside, admit ticket holders as described, and run your event safely. If you cancel, move or significantly change an event, you must tell buyers promptly and refund them as these terms describe.

For organisers: verification and getting paid

Organisers are individuals or businesses. To be verified, an individual sends their legal name, date of birth, address and a valid ID (national ID card, passport, driver's licence or voter card). A business also sends its registered name, registration number, registered address and its certificate of registration, together with the ID of the person acting for it.

You can create events and sell tickets before you are verified. Until you are verified, we hold the ticket money for your events. We release it once your verification is approved, or once we have confirmed that your event took place as you described it.

The documents you send must be genuine and your own (or your business's). Sending false or someone else's documents is a serious breach: we will refuse or remove the verification, may close your account and hold any money owed until the matter is resolved, and may report it to the authorities.

We pay out the ticket money collected through Mobile Money for an event after it has taken place, to the Mobile Money number or bank account you give us, minus any fees we told you about. Money you take yourself, for example cash at the door, is never collected by us and isn't part of a payout.

We may delay, hold back or reduce a payout if an event was cancelled, didn't take place as described, or is the subject of complaints, refunds or suspected fraud, until the matter is resolved. We may use money we hold for an event to refund its buyers.

You are responsible for any taxes due on your ticket sales and for keeping your own records.

Fees

Any fee WeOutside charges buyers is shown before they pay. Any fee or commission WeOutside charges organisers is shown before you list your event or agreed with you in writing. We will tell you before we introduce or change a fee; changes don't apply to tickets already sold.

Things you must not do

Don't use WeOutside for anything unlawful or fraudulent, including buying with someone else's money without permission, listing fake events or selling tickets you can't honour.

Don't interfere with WeOutside: no hacking, scraping, automated buying, overloading our systems, getting around our security or limits, or copying the site.

Don't impersonate anyone, harass people, or use details you get through WeOutside (such as a buyer's phone number) for anything other than the event they bought a ticket for.

Your information

We collect what we need to run WeOutside: your name, email and phone number; what you buy and the payment references from MTN; tickets and check-ins; your group chat messages; and, for organisers, the details and documents sent for verification and the bank or payout details you give us. We also record how the site is used, without advertising trackers, to improve it.

We use this to sell and deliver tickets, run events and chats, send you messages about your tickets and events (including a reminder before an event you have a ticket for), keep WeOutside safe and prevent fraud, pay organisers, and meet legal obligations.

Organisers see the names and contact details of people who bought tickets to their events, so they can run the event and reach buyers about it. We share payment information with MTN to process payments, and we use trusted service providers to store data and send emails and messages. We don't sell your information.

Verification documents are stored privately. Only authorised WeOutside staff can view them, through links that expire, and only to check them. We keep them as long as your organiser account is active and for as long afterwards as the law requires.

You can ask to see, correct or delete your information by writing to admin@weoutside.xyz. We may need to keep some records, such as sales and payments, for legal and accounting reasons.

Our content and yours

WeOutside's name, logo, design and software belong to The 8teen Corporation. You may use the site for its intended purpose, but not copy or reuse it.

Organisers keep ownership of their event details and images, and allow us to show, resize and share them to promote the event on WeOutside and elsewhere, including in messages and on social media.

Our responsibility to you

We work hard to keep WeOutside running and accurate, but it is provided as it is. It may sometimes be unavailable, slow or have mistakes. We don't promise that it will always work without interruption.

As far as the law allows, WeOutside is not liable for: anything about an event, which is the organiser's responsibility; indirect losses such as travel, accommodation or lost earnings; or losses caused by things outside our reasonable control, such as network or Mobile Money outages, power cuts, unrest or bad weather.

Where we are liable to you, our total liability for a ticket is limited to the amount you paid us for it.

Nothing in these terms limits any right you have that the law says cannot be limited, or our liability for our own fraud or for death or injury caused by our negligence.

Organisers agree to cover WeOutside for any claims, losses and costs that arise from their events, their listings or their breach of these terms.

Suspending or closing accounts

You can stop using WeOutside at any time and ask us to close your account.

We may suspend or close an account, remove listings or messages, or refuse service if someone breaks these terms, acts fraudulently or puts others at risk. Where it is safe and lawful to, we will tell you why. Tickets already sold for an organiser's events remain the organiser's responsibility.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as WeOutside changes or the law requires. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change matters, we will tell you on the site or by email before it applies. If you keep using WeOutside after a change applies, the new terms apply to you.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Liberia.

If something goes wrong, contact us first at admin@weoutside.xyz and we will try to sort it out. If we can't, the courts of the Republic of Liberia will decide.
